For a start, Tijuca National Park represents the first replanted forest in the world located entirely within the city. Besides this particularity, when walking through the beautiful trails of the Tijuca Forest, the visitor will be able to come across, or rather, be enchanted, by its magnificent waterfalls; and to take a “journey through time” by visiting the historic ruins of the old coffee farms.
The Caves Route begins at the Taunay Waterfall, where the visitor can enjoy a fantastic waterfall bath and appreciate the beauty of the arch bridge with its almost two centuries of existence.

Then, our team will take you to the Mayrink Chapel, a charming little church built in the mid-19th century. Inside the chapel, you will find murals created by the world-famous painter Cândido Portinari.
After visiting the Mayrink Chapel, our team will take you to the Visitor Center, where you will be able to experience a permanent and completely interactive exhibition. This exhibition aims to present, through models, interactive projections, ecosystem simulations and a 3D map of the Tijuca National Park in its fullness.
The next step of this tour is also very special! The visitor will, with our guide`s help, explore several caves in the area such as: Cave of Belmiro, Cave of Archer and Cave of Morcegos, and discover their secrets.
After visiting the caves in the area, what else can you do? Xperiencer will take you to the waterfall called Paulo and Virgínia, for a wonderful and refreshing bath, in order to renew your energy.
